Pronghorn became important to my husband and me when we went on a cross country trip to celebrate our third wedding anniversary. We were stopped by traffic jam…of pronghorn in a national park. I didn’t realize what a rare experience we were having, but my husband did. The pronghorn we saw were so lively and active. I loved the idea of putting one of them against the backdrop of the starkness of the Badlands. This piece was included in Donna DeSoto’s Inspired by the National Parks.
