The rain that falls today is the same water that has fallen since the dawn of time. It is recycled through the water cycle, never losing or adding a drop. It refreshes the Earth, cleans the air and waters the plants. In this piece, I have created the kind of rain that fascinates us by the sheer amount or power of it. The drops grow as they approach and make a satisfying splat on our umbrellas. As the rain falls, we are both isolated under our umbrellas and joined with those around us as we struggle to stay dry.
